Turkey seems to be speeding up its geothermal development process since local news state that yesterday Zorlu Enerji recieved received a preliminary license for the 24.9 MW Kizildere 4 geothermal power plant project in the Aydin province.
“According to an official statement the company sent to Turkey’s Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the country’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) granted a preliminary license for Zorlu Enerji’s wholly-owned Zorlu Dogal Elektrik Uretimi to build the project.”
The company already owns 2 operating geothermal plants in Turkey (Kizildere 1 with 15MW and Kizildere 2 with 80MW) and has one more project in the pipeline, the 100 MW Kizildere 3 plant.
