This week a three-week geothermal summer school organised for 15 students from sub-Saharan Africa will conclude at the University of Pisa, Italy.
This is the first of such programs held in Italy as part of a higher education program. Started three weeks, ago the course will end Friday, July 14.
Held at the University of Pisa’s Department of Earth Sciences, it is funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Italian Development Cooperation Agency and the University itself. The 15 students selected for the program come from seven countries in sub-Saharan Africa – Comoros, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania and Uganda.
